The Strategic Allocation Portfolios are three target-risk asset allocation portfolios in which assets are diversified among stocks, bonds and cash securities and are built around a pre-set level of risk—Conservative, Moderate or Aggressive—that automatically rebalances to maintain that risk level.

The philosophy behind American Century Investments' Strategic Allocation Portfolios is based upon applying modern portfolio theory and mean variance analysis to over 70 years of market performance data. In addition, each of the sub-asset classes has a proven track record, and follows a philosophy and process that seeks to create value for our clients. By combining an asset allocation overlay with sound investment strategies, we feel that we are able to provide asset allocation products with exceptional risk/return profiles.
